Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — AGTC Genomics has been invited by the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at Taylor’s University to deliver a focused industry engagement session on “Translational Research, Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), and Industry Co-Creation.” The session is part of the university’s broader initiative to strengthen research capacity and align academic output with national and international funding priorities.

The engagement will bring together academic researchers and industry partners to explore strategies for advancing research beyond early discovery stages toward clinical validation, implementation, and commercialization. AGTC Genomics’ participation underscores its growing role in supporting translational research and enabling real-world impact through genomics and precision medicine.

During the session, AGTC Genomics is expected to share practical perspectives on navigating the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) framework, a critical pathway for transforming laboratory discoveries into deployable healthcare solutions. The company will also highlight its capabilities in providing access to advanced sequencing platforms, bioinformatics pipelines, and clinically validated workflows—key components in accelerating research translation.

This collaboration reflects a broader trend in Malaysia’s research ecosystem, where stronger academia–industry partnerships are increasingly recognized as essential to drive innovation, improve healthcare outcomes, and enhance global competitiveness. By aligning academic expertise with industry infrastructure and scalability, such partnerships aim to shorten the time from discovery to impact.

The session is also anticipated to serve as a catalyst for future collaborations, including joint grant applications, co-development of translational research programs, and shared access to specialized facilities.

AGTC Genomics continues to position itself as a key partner to academic institutions across the region, supporting initiatives that bridge scientific discovery with clinical application—ultimately advancing the adoption of precision medicine in Malaysia and beyond.
