We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Sunway University for inviting our CEO, Prof. Chee-Onn Leong, to serve as a reviewer for the Arizona State University (ASU) VentureX Global Challenge.

The ASU VentureX Global Challenge is an annual international competition that seeks innovative, impactful, and action-oriented solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Malaysian stage, hosted by Sunway University, brings together outstanding student teams to pitch bold ideas addressing real-world challenges. The winning team earns the opportunity to represent Sunway University and Malaysia at the global finals at Arizona State University (ASU) in the United States.

We were truly impressed by the quality, maturity, and global relevance of the projects presented. The ideas demonstrated strong problem framing, scientific and technological depth, and clear pathways toward real-world implementation. Many of the concepts showcased were on par with world-class innovation and entrepreneurship standards.

Sunway University continues to play a pivotal role in nurturing future-ready talent by embedding sustainability, innovation, and industry engagement into its academic ecosystem. We are honoured to be part of this journey and to support initiatives that empower students to transform ideas into meaningful impact.
