AGTC Genomics is honoured to be invited by IMU University to serve as a member of its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), marking an important milestone in strengthening collaboration between industry and academia in Malaysia’s growing precision medicine ecosystem.

The appointment reflects a shared commitment to accelerate translational research—bridging the gap between scientific discovery and real-world clinical and societal impact. As part of the SAB, AGTC Genomics will contribute its expertise in genomics, bioinformatics, and clinical applications to support IMU’s strategic research direction and innovation initiatives.

As a leading genomics solutions provider in Southeast Asia, AGTC Genomics plays an active role in enabling research that is not only scientifically robust, but also clinically relevant, scalable, and commercially viable. The company’s state-of-the-art sequencing platforms, ISO-accredited laboratory, and integrated multi-omics capabilities position it as a strong partner for academic institutions seeking to translate research into meaningful healthcare solutions.

“AGTC Genomics is committed to being more than a service provider—we are a genuine industry partner to academia,” said a representative from AGTC Genomics. “We actively support co-development of research projects, facilitate technology transfer, and provide access to advanced genomics infrastructure to ensure that innovations can move efficiently from the laboratory to clinical application.”

Through this collaboration, AGTC Genomics aims to:

  • Support grant-driven and impact-focused research through local sequencing and technical expertise

  • Enable multi-omics and next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based studies across clinical and research domains

  • Bridge the pathway from research outputs to commercialization and clinical adoption

  • Strengthen Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for precision medicine and genomics innovation

IMU University has demonstrated strong leadership in advancing translational research, with a growing portfolio of initiatives that integrate scientific discovery with real-world healthcare needs. AGTC Genomics looks forward to contributing to this vision and working closely with IMU’s research leadership and academic community.

This partnership underscores the importance of industry–academia collaboration in driving innovation, improving patient outcomes, and building a sustainable ecosystem for biomedical advancement in Malaysia and beyond.
