AGTC Genomics and UiTM Healthcare Entities Explore Strategic Collaboration to Advance Precision Medicine in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – AGTC Genomics Sdn Bhd (“AGTC Genomics”) recently hosted a collaborative engagement session with representatives from UiTM Private Specialist Centre (UPSC), UiTM Holdings Sdn Bhd, and Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah UiTM (HASA) at its ISO 15189 and College of American Pathologists (CAP)-accredited Advanced Genomics Laboratory in Bukit Jalil.
The session brought together healthcare leadership and laboratory professionals to exchange insights on advancing precision medicine within the UiTM healthcare ecosystem.
The UiTM delegation comprised Zaiton Sulaiman, Chief Executive Officer of UiTM Private Specialist Centre (UPSC); Wan Huzainee from the Commercial Division; Zety Atikah, Nurse Manager; and Fakhri from Business Development. Representing Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah UiTM (HASA) was Puan Sri Wahyuni from the Laboratory Department.
Discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration, including integration of comprehensive next-generation sequencing (NGS), liquid biopsy, pharmacogenomics, and early cancer detection services into specialist and tertiary care settings. The engagement also explored opportunities in clinical workflow alignment, translational research support, and capacity building within an academic–clinical framework.
