AGTC Genomics is honoured to be invited by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Molecular Biology Institute (UMBI) to participate in the 1st Regional Conference on Precision Health, taking place on 15–16 April 2026 at the Royale Chulan Hotel, Malaysia.
This inaugural regional conference brings together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to address one of the most pressing challenges in modern healthcare — translating precision medicine into real-world clinical impact.
As part of the conference, our CEO, Prof. Chee-Onn Leong, will deliver a featured session titled:“Right Test, Right Price, Right Now: An Industry Playbook for Equitable Precision Diagnostics.”
From Innovation to Implementation
While advancements in genomics and precision medicine have accelerated significantly over the past decade, access remains uneven across regions. Many healthcare systems continue to face challenges in integrating advanced diagnostics into routine clinical workflows due to cost, infrastructure, and turnaround time constraints.
This session will focus on bridging this gap — shifting the conversation from what is technologically possible to what is clinically practical and scalable.
The AGTC Perspective: Making Precision Medicine Work
At AGTC Genomics, we believe that precision diagnostics must be:
Accessible — delivered locally to reduce cost and turnaround time
Affordable — aligned with regional healthcare economics
Actionable — providing clinically relevant insights for immediate decision-making
With a CAP-accredited and ISO-certified genomics laboratory based in Malaysia, AGTC Genomics continues to support hospitals, clinicians, and researchers across Southeast Asia with high-quality, cost-effective genomic solutions.
A Regional Call to Action
The 1st Regional Conference on Precision Health represents more than an academic gathering — it is a strategic platform to align stakeholders across the ecosystem.
Collaboration between academia, healthcare providers, and industry will be critical to ensuring that precision health is not limited to a select few, but becomes a standard of care across the region.
AGTC Genomics looks forward to contributing to these important discussions and building partnerships that will accelerate the adoption of equitable precision diagnostics in Southeast Asia.
