AGTC Genomics is proud to participate in the AWS Genomics Community Day Malaysia 2026, a highly anticipated event that brings together leaders from healthcare, research, and technology to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in precision medicine.

Taking place on 19 April 2026 at the AWS Kuala Lumpur Office, this community day—hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS)—serves as a platform to showcase real-world applications of AI in genomics, clinical workflows, and precision health.

Bridging AI and Clinical Reality

As genomic technologies continue to advance, the volume and complexity of biological data have grown exponentially. While artificial intelligence offers powerful tools to analyze and interpret this data, a critical gap remains between algorithm development and real-world clinical implementation.

The challenge is no longer about whether AI can work—but whether it can deliver meaningful, timely, and reliable insights that improve patient outcomes.

AGTC Genomics Perspective: Right Data, Right Algorithm, Right Patient

At the event, our CEO, Prof. Chee-Onn Leong, will deliver a featured session titled:“Right Data, Right Algorithm, Right Patient: Making AI Work in Precision Medicine.”

This session will highlight a practical framework for deploying AI in healthcare, focusing on three key pillars:

  • Right Data — High-quality, clinically validated genomic datasets are essential for building reliable AI models

  • Right Algorithm — Transparent, robust, and clinically interpretable algorithms are critical for adoption

  • Right Patient — AI must be integrated into clinical workflows to ensure the right patient benefits at the right time

From Innovation to Implementation

AGTC Genomics has been at the forefront of integrating genomics and data science to support precision oncology and personalized healthcare across Southeast Asia. With a CAP-accredited and ISO-certified laboratory infrastructure, the company emphasizes not only technological advancement but also clinical applicability.

By combining next-generation sequencing (NGS) with advanced bioinformatics and AI-driven analytics, AGTC Genomics aims to transform complex genomic data into actionable insights that support diagnosis, treatment selection, and disease monitoring.

A Collaborative Ecosystem for the Future of Healthcare

The AWS Genomics Community Day highlights the importance of collaboration between technology providers, healthcare institutions, and industry partners. Platforms such as AWS enable scalable, secure, and high-performance computing environments that are essential for processing large-scale genomic datasets and deploying AI solutions.

AGTC Genomics looks forward to engaging with partners and stakeholders to explore how AI can be responsibly and effectively integrated into clinical practice—ensuring that innovation translates into tangible healthcare outcomes.
