AGTC Genomics continues to strengthen its regional growth strategy through a strategic professional visit and collaborative exchange with AIMA Life Solutions Inc. at the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI), Philippines. This engagement marks an important milestone in AGTC’s expansion into high-growth Southeast Asian healthcare markets, with a focus on genomics-enabled precision medicine, research translation, and talent development.
The visit was led by Dr. Boon Shing Tan, Chief Technology Officer of AGTC Genomics, together with Mr. Kok Sin, Senior Business Development Manager. Discussions centred on technology integration, clinical applications, education, and long-term strategic alignment, highlighting how advanced genomics platforms can be embedded into academic medical centres to support precision healthcare delivery and innovation.
DLSMHSI, one of the Philippines’ leading academic medical institutions and part of the De La Salle University system, is recognised for its strong integration of medical education, clinical services, biomedical research, and community health. With its teaching hospital, research infrastructure, and large training pipeline of healthcare professionals, DLSMHSI represents a strategically important partner for scaling genomics adoption, workforce upskilling, and translational research programmes in the country.
The engagement explored opportunities to align genomics and life sciences innovation with medical education, clinical research, and healthcare delivery, creating pathways for sustainable implementation of precision medicine within the Philippine healthcare ecosystem. Such academic–clinical partnerships are critical enablers for long-term adoption, evidence generation, and system-wide impact.
AGTC Genomics also acknowledges the pivotal role of AIMA Life Sciences, a leading regional life sciences organisation with deep market insight, strong healthcare networks, and proven capability in local market development. AIMA’s facilitation and strategic leadership were instrumental in enabling this cross-border collaboration and advancing discussions toward scalable implementation models.
This engagement underscores AGTC Genomics’ strategy of capital-efficient regional expansion through trusted local partners, academic medical institutions, and clinically anchored deployment models. The Philippines represents a significant growth market for precision diagnostics and genomics-driven healthcare, supported by a large population, expanding private healthcare sector, and increasing emphasis on innovation and research.
AGTC Genomics looks forward to advancing these discussions into structured collaborations with AIMA Life Sciences and DLSMHSI, reinforcing its position as a regional leader in precision medicine and creating long-term clinical, scientific, and commercial value across Southeast Asia.
